Your Role as Study Professionals

Your perspective as a professional in the field of psychiatry is crucial for systematically capturing care realities. PSY-DIVER uses your insights to shape more equitable mental healthcare. The project led by LVR-IFuB is funded by the Innovation Fund (G-BA) and supported by DGPPN. Together, we develop evidence-based, diversity-sensitive solutions for tomorrow's care.

How You Can Participate

Your Voice Counts

Your experience shows where good care succeeds and where it reaches its limits. We invite you to contribute your expertise to close gaps in care and sustainably ensure treatment quality for all groups.

Science That Makes a Difference

PSY-DIVER is not a purely theoretical project. The insights from your practice flow directly into the development of clinical guidelines and tools that guarantee needs-based and equitable care.

Well-Founded Research

We combine the analysis of approximately 50,000 inpatient cases annually with your qualitative insights. This creates a precise picture of the mental healthcare landscape that unites scientific depth with clinical relevance.

Collaborative Approach

We rely on co-creation: Professionals are actively involved in study design and data interpretation. This ensures that the developed recommendations are truly practicable in clinical practice.

Ways to Participate

Professional Interview (approx. 60 min.)

A conversation (online or on-site) about your attitudes toward diversity-sensitive care, your knowledge of diversity factors, and your perception of current treatment processes.

Online Survey (approx. 30-45 min.)

One-time participation in a structured survey on clinical processes, barriers, and potentials in care.

Co-Creation Workshop

Collaborative development of recommendations together with researchers and other stakeholders to ensure that results are applicable in clinical practice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my information be kept confidential?

Yes. All information will be handled securely and according to current data protection standards. Your participation is voluntary and confidential.

What expertise is sought for the study?

At the center of PSY-DIVER is the care of people whose perspectives are often underrepresented in the healthcare system. We therefore seek exchange with professionals who have experience treating diverse groups (e.g., women, older people, people from the LGBTQIA* community, with migration history, disability, non-white skin color, low educational opportunities, and low income).

How can I participate?

Professionals are invited to share their perspectives through interviews, surveys, and/or co-creation workshops. Feel free to contact us to learn more about participation opportunities.

When will research results be available?

The project runs from November 2025 to October 2028. Preliminary results will be shared at conferences and in publications throughout the study period with comprehensive recommendations at project completion.
